ICAI Planning To Open Four More Overseas Chapters Soon

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is planning to open four more overseas chapters soon. The institute currently has 21 chapters outside India, said Ved Jain, ICAI president.

ICAI is also launching a certificate course in International Financial Reporting Standards to equip its members, said Jain who was here recently to inaugurate a national conference organised by ICAI. The course will be conducted initially at Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and later in Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Chandigarh among others.

This apart, ICAI has decided to introduce certificate courses in valuation, arbitration, derivatives, forex and treasury management.

Further, to improve the communication and presentation skills, ICAI is introducing a 3-month residential programme.
